Care tips for your new Bonehead Tackle Carbon Fiber Rod

If you get hung up in brush or timber, please note the following tips to prevent unnecessary damage to your new carbon fiber rod.

You will not want to whip the rod back in forth to try and free the hook from it’s position as this type of action puts stress on the rod that can cause it to break.
You do not want to position your hand anywhere above the handle as it will not allow the rod to evenly distribute the weight properly and will target the weight to the position of your hand and can cause it to break.
When you do get hung up and cannot gently get unhung then always point the tip of the rod directly towards the jig where it is hung and grip the rod and line and pull the rod straight back to bend the hook out to break free. This can sometimes result in a lost jig but you will not put any unnecessary stress on your carbon fiber rod that could cause damage or breakage.
Never use line that is greater than the recommended weight listed on the rod. This helps prevent the rod from over exerting it’s strength and causing the rod to break.

Bonehead Tackle warrants defects and imperfections in our rods from the manufacturing process. Bonehead Tackle’s limited 90-day warranty does not cover damage caused by neglect, misuse or accidental damage. The 90-day limited warranty does require proof of purchase such as the original receipt from time of purchase. The warranty starts on your date of purchase.

Bonehead Tackle carbon fiber series rods have a limited 1 year warranty.

Bonehead Tackle warrants defects and imperfections in our rods from the manufacturing process. Bonehead Tackle’s limited one year warranty does not cover damage caused by neglect, misuse or accidental damage. The one year limited warranty does require proof of purchase such as the original receipt from time of purchase. The warranty starts on your date of purchase and is subject to a flat rate $30 replacement charge.

For warranty claims, please email, send a check or money order for $30 along with proof of purchase, a photo of the damage to info@boneheadtackle.com and the attached warranty form to the address below.
